Itinerary:
Day 01: Beijing / Datong (L+D)
Arrive in Datong via N205 (Beijing West Train Station - Datong) at 07:00 am. Meet guide and transfer to hotel. Visit the Yungang Grottoes. Then visit the Nine Dragon Screen. Move on to visit Huayan Monastery. and the Shanhua Monastery.
Day 02: Datong / Taiyuan (B+L+D)
Drive to Taiyuan. Visit the Hangying Temple. Visit Yingxian Wood Pagoda on the way. The pagoda is the oldest and highest wooden structure in China with about 900 years of history and is regarded as the "First Pagoda in the World" and a gem in the architectural field. Drive to Taiyuan, visit the Jinci Temple. Overnight at a hotel of Taiyuan.
Day 03: Taiyuan / Pingyao / Beijing (B+L)
Drive to Pingyao. Go to visit the Qiao Family Courtyard. Walk along the Ancient City Wall. Move on to visit Shuanglin Temple. Be transferred to Taiyuan and catch the overnight train to Beijing. Tour end.

- Do not believe the Chinese antique vendor come to you, the "antiques" are ALL not real.
- Don't exchange foreign currency with the "dollar vendors" individuals, exchange with them is illegal in China, contact your hotel reception or tour guide for more help.
- As a common sense, the souvenir vendors often quote very high, it is a good idea to cut half of their quote and even more, and their nod proves your strategy is working.
